The Campus Wide Networking (CWN) facility of the university is monitored by the Data Centre to ensure constant network connectivity across the campus. Currently, CWN has three redundant, top-of-the-line carrier-class core switches and 100 access switches. Through a multimode fibre optic backbone, the connectivity between the core switch and the access switch is established. The intranet's current bandwidth is 10 GBPS. To meet the campus's internet needs, the CWN is currently complemented with a redundant 100 MBPS internet link. To fulfil the campus's computing needs, the college has hosted a private cloud on a virtualized environment comprising blade servers and flex servers with fibre SAN storage. The campus network has made it possible to provide easy access to online lectures and e-journals. software and streaming services for lectures online. The institution's email and webservers are also housed in the data centre.
